Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Maritime University will be playing an important role in the development of the country by utilizing the maritime resources of Bangladesh, Chairman of the University Grants Commission Professor Abdul Mannan said on the occasion of universtity campus extension, new library, archive inauguration and short course certificates ceremony as the chief guest. The program was attended by Treasurer, Registrar, Dean, Teachers, Officers, Staffs, Students and invited guests.
Later, the UGC Chairman attended the short course certificate award ceremony at the university auditorium of Supply chain management, Freight forwarding, Marine Insurance and Claim. In the mentioned 3 courses, 52 successful trainees from various government and non-government maritime organizations successfully completed the course. The welcome address of the ceremony was presented by the Vice-Chancellor of the University Rear Admiral M Khaled Iqbal. In his speech, the vice-chancellor urged everyone to work together to ensure the quality education and develop qualified and skilled manpower in the maritime sector. – Press Release
