Special move to resolve sugarcane crisis in Thakurgaon

Md. Saddam Hossain, Thakurgaon Correspondent: The workers and employees of Thakurgaon Sugar Mill have begun cultivating sugarcane in order to protect the existence of the mill. Lacking their own land, they are harvesting crops by leasing land. According to the workers and the employees, they didn’t receive their salaries for the last four months and led a miserable life with their family. The sugarcane farmers are blaming the mill authority for decreasing the production of sugarcane.
