Only 113 crores taka was collected at only two venues, in the first Bangladesh Tax Fair in 2010. But 8 years later, total of 2,217.33 crores taka was collected in 167 venues countrywide. Even, income tax submission has increased by 72.40% and 25.89% more general public voluntarily sought for related public services this year. National Board of Revenue (NBR) was successful in creating a widespread friendly culture of paying taxes through this initiation of a national festival of Tax Fair. By setting up district based venues, along with the venues in the cities, they managed to involve every one. NBR plans to set venues at the Economic Growth Centers of the rural areas as well, next year.
