20 Rohingya Arrested With Weapons &Yaba In Past 2 Months

    In several separated events over past 2 months, total of 20 Rohingyans were captured with 25 fire-arms & 50 thousand taka worth Yaba, by the law-enforce ment forces. Such, criminal activities & drug smugglings are ever worsening the condition of the Cox’s Bazar area & its tourism industry. In a recent event, locals captured 5 members of Myanmar based Arakan Solidarity Army (an extremists group) with fire-arms, on 27 October. They open fired on the Rohingyan refugees in one of the Ukhiya camp. Even, a woman was arrested with a pipe-gun on 20 October. 9,800 Yaba pieces were confiscated from Kutung-Palong Rohingya camp in a mission by Rab, on 20 October etc.
    Rohingya issues are paving the way for terrorism into Bangladesh. Terrorist organizations might have connection with some of these unfortunate events as well, said Transparency International Bangladesh in a press-conference on Wednesday.
