Dhaka Central Prison Hospital will be established, by the central prison in Keraniganj. Also, along with an internal Modern Addictions Recovery Center, for the Drug Addict Captives of 68 prisons. This 200 seat hospital ensures to provide most modern treatments to the prisoners, prison employees including their family members & locals. Protection Services Division of Ministry of Home Affairs is implementing this project. Construction may begin this December, with about 279 crores taka government funding. It aims to finish by 2020. About 7 thousands of the prisoners are drug addicts. Thus establishing of this modern hospital will surely cure thousands of addicts, said Prison Inspector Brig. Gen. Syed Iftekhar Uddin.
