Translated by Eshan Maitra: Per capita income has reached 1602 US dollars in 2016-17 fiscal year. Whilst, it was 1465 US dollars in previous 2015-16 fiscal year. These were mentioned at a general cabinet briefing by cabinet secretary Md. Shafiul Alam, yesterday.Honorable PM Sheikh Hasina conducted this meeting at her Tejgaon office.Md. Shafiul Alam added that, GDP growth has become 7.24% from 7.11%. Also, 30% more manpower was exported in this fiscal year. Though, remittance flow has decreased by 14.48%.But ministers are claiming that, the foreign income has not decreased. Authorities only could not track the real amount of the flow. Since, currently most of remittance is coming through improper & uncommon channels.
