Shadhinota Chikitshak Parishad (Shachip) Doctors Council President Prof. Dr. M Iqbal and his supporters are claiming that, BMA is overdoing with their prolonged & rigid movement. Though, Bangladesh Medical Association’s (BMA) President Dr. Mostafa Jalal & General Secretary Dr. Ehteshamul Haque and their supporters, keep justifying their movements for the security-rights of the doctors, as legitimate.

After the incident & controversial case of Central Hospital Dhaka, regarding the death of a DU student. BMA has openly called for several forms of national protests, urging for workplace security-laws for doctors, halting any private practice, meetings with the Health, State & Education ministers, wearing black badges and several other programs of such, from 29 May to 3 July.

BMA & Shachip leaders already had separate contradictions regarding the case DU filed against Central Hospital for the death of that patient. But, Shachip supporters really went against BMA when they negotiated about the case with DU. Shahcip is also disagreeing with BMA’s prolonged movements & claiming those to be somewhat radical acts. Thus creating a split among the doctors.

Still, BMA will be continuing with their ideals & verdicts. Since, BMA has more responsibilities & effects on actually protecting doctors’ rights. They will keep up their work for the welfare of the doctors, with or without Shachip and their supporters. Informed a BMA leader to the press.
