Keith Roberts is the President of Zenman- a Denver-based web design/development and digital marketing agency. Mr. Roberts had learned a lot from his 20 years of business experience and he shed some light on what he learned in a recent news report about the having the “right person for the job”. Zenman started following an operating system called the EOS transaction that aids in identifying an entrepreneur’s core values and set goals accordingly. After they recognize their core values, they check to see if the company’s core values align with that of the employees or not.
Roberts explained that when you know that you are the right person for your job, you immediately become more efficient because you feel like you have complete control of what you are doing. This way, any trust issues between the employees are demolished, and there is no room for them to play the blame game.
However, once Zenman started practicing this, they realized that a lot o their employees are not the correct fit for the jobs they were assigned. For instance, they had an in-house billing system and it used to take their employees three to four days to get the job done, which had a negative impact on the cash flow. But when they replaced these employees with a seasoned bookkeeper, billing became something that was only a matter of hours instead of three days.
Keith Roberts delves into a key topic in the world of business, and maybe you need to do that too. Maybe not having the “right person” for your company is what’s keeping you away from success.
