While the Indians are trying to make cleaner and barf-free trains, the Japanese are venturing into a world of style and innovation. Kazuyo Sejima is famous for designing buildings that camouflage into the background but the fact that he is making a train in the same way is beyond Hogwartsy.
Seibu Group, a renowned Japanese hotel and train manufacturing company, gave this “Invisible Train” project to Sejima. The train and its tracks will be inaugurated on the year 2018, to celebrate Seibu’s 100th anniversary, and will connect Tokyo to parts of central Japan.
The trains are being designed to have reflective surface which will allow them to disappear into the rural and urban landscapes without disrupting the view.
