Conjoined twins admitted to DMCH

    Twin girls conjoined at the head named Rabeya and Rokaiya of Pabna have been admitted to Burn Unit at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) yesterday. Prime minister Sheikh Hasina has ordered to provide proper treatment to the conjoined twins, said Dr Samantalal Sen, chief coordinator of DMCH’s Burn and Plastic Surgery Unit. The Twin girls were born to school teacher Rafikul islam and Taslima Khatun through Caesarean section in a private clinic in Pabna last year. The family lives in a village Atlanka of Mulgram union in Chatmohar upazila, Pabna. They would undergo several tests. For that, a medical board would have to be formed to give further treatment. Family of the girls said they reached to the prime minister through the local MP with the kids.
