9 leaksters held, biggest ring busted: CID

    Criminal Investigation Department (CID) yesterday claimed arrest of nine persons, members of the biggest question leakster ring busted till date, reports The Daily Star.
    They law enforcers say, with these arrests, thus far 46 members of the ring have been held and that the group has been uprooted completely.
    Those arrested were identified as Hafizur Rahman, Abdur Rahman Ramiz, Rimon Hossain, Saidur Rahman Sayeed, Mohaiminul Islam, Masud Rahman Tajul, Jahangir Alam, Mosharraf Hossain Mosa, and Ashim Biswas.
    CID said, they were arrested through last week. Among them three are students of Dhaka University’s pharmacy and another is a student of Green University.

    “We have come to know they have amassed almost Tk 30 crore through question paper leak,” said Molla Nazrul Islam, special superintendent of CID, at a press conference.

    “We have been pursuing this group since 2017. For two years now, we have been tracking this group. And now, we have uprooted this ring completely,” he said.

    A lawsuit has been filed against the nine, CID said.
