    Indictment hearing in 2 defamation cases against Khaleda on Feb 3

    BSS: A Dhaka court today set February 3 to hold hearing on framing charges in two defamation cases lodged against BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.
    Dhaka additional chief metropolitan magistrate Asaduzzaman Noor passed the order accepting a time plea from the defence.
    Bangladesh Jananetri Parishad president AB Siddique filed a defamation case against the BNP chief on November 3, 2016, for dishonoring country’s map
    and flag by giving the right to hoist national flag on the vehicles of anti
    liberation forces. On the other hand, journalist Gazi Jahirul Islam filed another defamation
    case against her on August 30, 2016, for observing fake birthday.
