Small screen actress Tarin Jahan said most of the people linked to the country’s cultural arena love the prime minister, something she secured through hard work.
Tarin, also a model, was speaking a TV talk show of late, saying, “We have always been witnessing that the premier loves, respects and keeps in tough with artistes.”
The actress finds this a matter of great elation and honour.
“We can see the development spree taking place as a result of the prime minister’s plan for the last ten years,” she said.
Celebrities and media personalities joined her election campaign to help the flow of development keep going across the country, Tarin claimed.
“On behalf of the government, we took part in
electioneering and roamed around parts of the country. Duly, we talked to the people, who seemed to be peace-loving and don’t want violence,” she further said.
“We did not even face a little harassment or untoward situation while campaigning. I think the countrymen experienced a peaceful election and we are really glad at the landslide victory of the Awami League,” she mentioned.
Talking on the voting atmosphere, she said a festive mood was prevailing among the voters, regardless of their age and social status.
Those claiming that they could not cast their ballot did not actually try doing so, Tarin observed.
BNP and Jatiya Oikya Front planned in advance that they would not accept the polls result. So, they just contested in the election for formality only, she claimed.
Other than making allegations, they were not seen being vibrant in the polls race, she concluded.
