Four hurt in Thakurgaon pre-polls violence

    At least four activists of Secchasebok Dal were injured in a reported clash with members of Jubo League and Bangladesh Chhatra League in Madarganj area of Thakurgaon Sadar upazila cantering tearing up of Bangladesh Nationalist Party candidate Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir’s posters.
    One of the injured, Rahimanpur union Sechhasebok Dal leader Abu Sayem Porag claimed that when they were sticking posters of Mirza Fakhrul in the area around 08:00am.
    The leaders and activists of Jubo League and BCL obstructed them and torn down the posters which triggered the clash, reports New Age BD.
    However, Md Mostafa, general secretary of Sadar Upazila Jubo League, denied the allegation.
    A police team went to the spot, said Mostafizur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Thakurgaon Sadar police.
