At least 18 shops were gutted in a fire which broke out at Haat Krishnapur Bazar in Sadarpur upazila on Thursday night.
Saifuzzaman, senior station officer of Faridpur Fire service, said the fire broke out at a shop around 10:30 pm and spread around soon.
On information, a firefighting unit went to the spot and extinguished the fire.
However, it was not clear what caused the fire.
