Afrida Ahmed: The BNP announced yesterday that they will stage demonstration in the capital on Wednesday even though they were denied permission to hold a rally that was scheduled for yesterday, reports observerbd.This announcement was made by BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi Ahmed at a press conference at the party’s Naya Paltan central office yesterday.He said that they asked for permission from the police to hold a rally demanding Khaleda Zia’s release from jail to ensure her better treatment. However, their permission was denied due to Government’s orders. The BNP leader alleged that the government is obstructing BNP to organize its party’s programme since it is afraid of public anger. BNP Chairperson’s Advisor Abdus Salam, Joint Secretary General Syed Moazzem Hossain Alal, Assistant Organising Secretary Abdus Salam Azad and Assistant Office Secretary Belal Ahmed were also present at the press briefing.
