Members of detective branch of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) have detained 56 suspected members of different hijacking gangs from parts of the capital city. The suspected hijackers were held in possession of lethal weapons, during their raids at several bus and railway stations across the city on Tuesday night, reports the Dhaka Tribune.DMP Deputy Commissioner Masudur Rahman confirmed the matter yesterday morning, but did not disclose details about the drives and the detainees immediately.
