Infant stolen from DMCH recovered from N’gong

    Zim, the three month old baby girl stolen from Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), was recovered from Narayangong in the afternoon. A team of Shahbag police recovered the infant, deputy commissioner Maruf Hasan of Ramna police to media. Meanwhile, DMCH authorities formed a three-member committee to investigate into the incident headed by deputy director of the hospital, Biddut Kanti Pal. The committee was asked to submit report within three days.
    The baby was stolen from a ward under medicine department of DMCH early hours yesterday from her mother Sumaiya Akter’s lap.Sumaiya was attending her husband Jewel Mia admitted there for a couple of weeks. The child was stolen when they were sleeping. Shahbagh police was informed when the relatives of the child informed DMCH police outpost.
