On Friday (17 December 2017), Tahmina Othoi, a student of University of Chittagong has been crowned the winner of ‘World Miss University Bangladesh’ at a gala event presented by Diamond World on the premises of Channel I in Dhaka. She will represent Bangladesh in the World Miss University 2017 in Cambodia on December 19th. According to Ntv online reports, she said ‘It’s great to be the winner. I had confidence. Hopefully, I can do better things in future. ‘ First runner-up was Tahsin Wazed Esha who is a student of North-South University and the second runner up was Fatema Yasmin Lia who is a student of BGMEA University.
Besides, Farhana Yasmin Anika of Stamford University got the Best Look , Anindita Mimi of Shanta Mairam University got the Best Smile, Sharmin Hena of the National University of Faridpur got the Best Hair, Nusrat Jahan Khandakar Meghna of East West University got the Best Skin, Ayesha Nudrat of City College of Dhaka got the Best Personality, Sadia Samad Shormi of Independent University got the Most Stylist and Preeti Ahad of Independent University has been elected for Miss Consignment award. One hundred ‘Miss Universe’ will be selected from different countries of the world in the Cambodian final phase. On 23rd November International Grooming will start with them in Korea. The winner will be served as UN ambassador of peace. This beautiful contest has been held for 28 years under the patronage of the United Nations. It is the 29th edition of the competition.
