A report from this year’s Tax Fair show that, return collection increased by 1.41 lacs taka or 72.40%, but income-tax collection increased onlyby87.65 crores takaor 4.12%. Total of 3 lacs 35 thousand 487 returns were collected. This year, there were greater number of venues as well. Each district festively held the week-long fair. Meantime, number of TIN (tax-identification) holders, increased almost by twice as much from last year.Now there are more than 31 lacs TIN holders.
