Bangladesh Bank soon will be integrating all the 18 mobile-financing operators under a single network. That will allow transactions between account holders of different operator companies. BB is discussing about this, with all the mobile-banking operators about this matter. The initiation is at its preparatory stage, said BB Spokesperson & Executive Director Subhankar Saha. BB permitted 28 commercial banks for operating mobile banking. Currently, 18 of them were running successfully within their established systems. Others either lost their licenses or failed to start. Bikash & Rocket are most popular among mobile-finance users. Above 600 crores taka worth transactions are completed through mobile-banking each day.
