Nature, natural resources, biodiversity, especially hills, mixed evergreen forests, rivers and water bodies, coastal and marine ecosystems, joint education and research work will be done by the University of Chittagong and Isabella Foundation in order to cooperate with each other, a meeting was held at the university’s vice-chancellor’s office on 26 October at 3:00 pm on the occasion of the separate compromise agreement with Chittagong University to aware the Isabella Foundation and River Overseas Group to create river protection. Honorable Vice-Chancellor Professor of Chittagong University was present as the chief guest. Chairman of the Foundation on behalf of the Isabella Foundation Shirin Akhtar was also present.This memorandum of understanding agreement was signed by the Chairman of the Foundation on behalf of the Isabella Foundation, Honorable Prime Minister’s Office and Project Director, A2I Program, Kabir Bin Anwar member of the Senate and the Chairman of the River Overseas Group Monir Hossain and Registrat Professor Dr. Mohammad Kamrul Huda of the university on behalf of Chittagong University (Acting). Among others, Professor of zoology department and coordinator of Halda Research Laboratory Professor Dr. Md. Monjurul Kibria, President of Zoology Division Professor Gazi Syed Mohammad Asmat, President of Life Sciences and Micro Science Department Chowdhury Mohammad Monirul Hasan, President of the Department of Psychology Lilun Nahar, President of Applied and Environmental Chemistry Mohammad Nazrul Islam and Senior officials of Isabella Foundation and river overseas were present.Honorable Vice Chancellor conveyed his sincere greetings and congratulations to all those present in his speech. He said in order to improve the quality of natural resources and the quality of life of the common people rivers, hills and nature are outstanding contributions to the development of biodiversity in riverine Bangladesh.
