Rohingya Issue Has Not Affected Trade Relation with Myanmar: 18.24 Thousand Metric Ton Rice Imported

Despite of the ongoing Rohingya Issue, Myanmar kept intact trade-relation with Bangladesh, stated Department of Agricultural Extension Botany Quarantine Wing’s Vice Director (Exporting) Md. Anwar Hossain Khan.Extra amount of rice had to be imported this year from Myanmar, due to flooding & crisis in Bangladesh. Both government & several private initiations aided to this cause. Many other products such as, tentul, fish, timber, bamboo, ginger & onion etc. are traded between these two countries, on regular basis.
