Three secretaries visited the Ukhia Rohingya camp

    3 secretaries belonging from important ministries of the government visited the Kutupalong Rohingya refugee camp in Ukhia and the Balochali Rohingya slum. They came to Kutupalong refugee camp directly from Cox’s Bazar at around 10:30 in the morning of 23 August. The three secretaries were Foreign Secretary Shahidul Haque, Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Kamal Uddin, Secretary of Forest and Environment Ministry Ishtiaq Ahmad. During this time, they visited the registered and unregistered camps in Kutupalong and talked about the overall infrastructural Rohingya issues. The Secretary of the Ministry discussed the idea of setting up Rohingya camp in the forest department. Chief Conservator of Forests Mohammad Shafiul Alam Chowdhury, Conservator of Forests Juglur Rahman, Cox’s Bazar DC Mohammad Ali Hossain, Cox’s Bazar District Superintendent of Police AKM Iqbal Hossain, Refugee relief and rehabilitation commissioner SM Rezwanur Hasan, Assistant Relief and Reclamation Commissioner Shamsudduzza, Cox’s Bazar divisional forest officer Ali Kabir, Ukhia Upazila Executive Officer Mohammad Moin Uddin, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Nur Uddin Md. Shibli Noman, Rezaul Karim; in-charge of Kutupalong registered refugee camp, ASP Circle (Ukhiya) Chahalu Marma, representatives of various NGO organizations, senior officials of government departments and Rohingya delegates were also present.
