The police have arrested Nayon Bapori, Chhatra League’s General Secretary of Taltali Upazila in a case filed for stealing Buddhist statue of the Rakhine community. He was arrested from a local hotel of Barguna district. Preparations are being made to present the accused Nayon before Amtali Senior Judicial Magistrate’s court.
Before the arrest was made, Nayon was aware that the court issued a warrant to arrest him and so he was in hiding. Thankfully, a secret source informed the police about his whereabouts and that is when the police was successful in arresting Nayon.Nayon Bapori faced expulsion from Chhatra League after he beat up three men from Awami League as they did not pay him subscription.
