Mass flood in the northern areas & heavy rainfall greatly interrupting the supply, mentioned the retailers. This had been the prime cause of major price hike in the vegetable market recently.
After weeks, onion price rate reduced by a little and being sold at 58 taka per kg average. But, vegetable price still increasing. Almost every vegetable price increased by 10 taka on average. Putting any general seasonal vegetables’ price over 50 taka. Such as, Potol, Korola, Dherosh, Jhinga, Dhundol etc.
Fortunately though, broiler chickens price decreased by 15 taka average.
