They received their postings on 6 July. 9 more are yet to be appointed, informed DMP Additional Commissioner Mosleh Uddin.
These 30 female police constables willingly took upon the opportunity to join traffic unit upon open request. After, 28 days of traffic training they have joined the force. They are glad for their professional achievement and hopes for cooperation from all.
Mosleh Uddin also admired the courage of these female constables. He believes, this is another step forward for the women in law-enforcement forces and will further encourage even more to join. Now, it will be more comfortable for female pedestrians to approach to the police for help, he added.
