Hajj Agencies Association of Bangladesh (HAAB) will be supplying trollies to the Hajj travelers, as per their responsibility, informs Ministry of Religious Affairs. Relevant instruction report will be sent to HAAB very soon.
Hajj Office reports, 1, 27,198 Bangladeshis will be going for Hajj this year. Most among them are traveling in private management. Therefore, total 29, 29, 95,000 taka has been allocated for trolley expenses, at 2,500 taka for each Haji. Though, trollies do not cost more 1200 taka. About this double priced trolley budget HAAB General Secretary Shahadat Hossain mentioned of their past failure to ensure quality trollies to the Hajj passengers. Therefore they do not want take any risk of ‘bad-name’ this year. He also said that, HAAB will be not directly involving in distributing these bags. Rather, they will be giving all the funding from the Ministry of Religious Affairs, to agents for trolley distribution.
