Cox’s Bazar, one of the longest beaches in the world has begun to lose its beauty due to unplanned growth of hotels, motels, studio apartments etc.  Developers said that is very important to make planned arrangements to the city of the most attractive beach of Bangladesh.

The beach town of Cox’s Bazar is the country’s hottest tourist spot. Apart from holidays, tourists flood the beach town to celebrate different festivals. More than four hundred hotels, motels, cottages, beach houses and resorts were constructed near the sea shore to accommodate the huge number of tourists. Now the tourists broadened their travel plan from city of Cox’s Bazar to Marine Drive Road and Inani beach. However, the tourists complained that the beach is losing its attractiveness. Retired Lt. Colonel Farkar Ahmed of Cox’s Bazar Development Authority said that the tourist city of Cox’s Bazar will be restructured according to the master plan. Even though a Structure Development Authority was formed in Cox’s Bazar, it has been unable to begin working fully due to lack of manpower.
