After dealing with an upset stomach from all the Mexican food in the Valley of Mexico and sashaying through delights of Geneva, KathiPoka and Myshisha marched back to Dhaka in a quest to look for some divine ice-cream and succulent Iftaar Platters.
Okay, maybe (just maybe) we did not travel around Mexico and Geneva but with Ramadan here, we were hunting for good Iftaar Platters. And can any hangout be complete without the addition of some lush, creamy ice-cream at the end? Nope.
Pulling a Sherlock, we ended up in a majestic place with two delectable Iftaar Platters from *drum rolls* Fajitas! For Ramadan this year, Fajitas introduced two new Iftaar platters- The Signature Platter and The Mexican Platter- to ‘serve your taste bud just right’. The Signature Platter comes with luscious bbq chicken, chicken lollipops, fried rice, sautéed vegetables, potato salad, humus, shahi tukra, fresh fruits and a refreshing glass of lemonade. The Mexican Platter, our personal favorite, includes a juicy Mexican chicken breast paired with spicy bbq chicken wings, Mexican rice, FIsh and Chips, Hummus, Potato salad, fresh fruits and shahi tukra. Mouth-watering, huh? You are probably thinking about how out-of-budget the platters might be. But hold your horses, because for once, buying good Iftaar won’t leave your pocket empty. The Signature Platter is just 499 taka while the Mexican Platter is 599 taka.
To wrap up the delicious Iftaar, we (rickshaw) adventured to Dipsydo’s. Trust us when we tell you that Dipsydo’s has the best ice cream you would stumble upon in Dhanmondi (Lalmatia actually, but you know what we mean). Their triple choco treat, Fererro Rocher bowl, and blueberry flavored ice-cream is to die for! If you love their ice cream as much as we do, then we have some good news for you- for Ramadan, Dipsydo’s has also come up with an exquisite offer. You might want to sit down for this one. Dipsydo’s has introduced a ‘Buy 1 Get 1 Free’ offer. Yes, you read that right! FREE ICE CREAM! However, due to your awful decision to not head on over to Dipsydo’s during the first 10 days of Ramadan, you missed out on the offer that we so thoroughly enjoyed. Do not worry though! Because they are introducing a new offer every 10 days, and the current offer is that all flavors (except the signature ones) will cost you only 160 taka and the Triple Choco only 225 taka. So yes, call up your entire squad and go over to Dipsydo’s! You wouldn’t regret the fluffy, tasty combination of creamy textures!
Now, incase you are wondering that it might be a hassle to go to Fajitas first and then to Dipsydo’s, you might want to take a sigh of relief! Because turns out that the owners of Dipsydo’s and Fajitas are partners and their restaurant in Banani serves food from both their menus! They have cozy sitting arrangements, and the perfect lighting and decor for you to capture some pretty pictures.
