2016 Pinoy K-Pop star was launched by the Korean Cultural Centre in Philippines. The KBS K-Pop World festival will be celebrated in Changwon, South Korea.
The application date for the festival will start from May 26 and end in June 26. The finals will be held on July 23 at the Skydome, SM City North EDSA. Performers in the vocal category can go solo, or dual, or in groups. The performances will be divided into two categories, vocal and performance. KCC demands that the performing groups should know how to sing as well as dance. Marking will be done in 60:20:20 bases for the vocal competitors. Whilst the dancers will get marks in 40:30:30.

Expression and Pronunciation 20%
Charisma: 20%
Performance:
Choreography 40%
Technique 30%
Stage Charisma: 30%
The grand prize winners will each get an amount of P30,000.
The runner up will P20,000 and the second runner up will get P10,000.
