Stress is something that affects everyone differently. It can have an impact on your thoughts and feelings, body, and behavior. What we often do not realize is that though stress is something really common among human beings, leaving it unchecked can contribute too many health issues. Therefore, if you are experiencing extreme or chronic stress then you need to seek help of therapists or doctors.
Below is a list of a few common symptoms of high stress and signs that you need to visit your doctor as soon as possible.
• When you are stressed, your body releases some hormones that cause muscle tension and high pain sensitivity. This means that your muscles might become stiff, making you feel a lot of pain. Long periods of muscle tension in the head, shoulders, and neck, can cause migraines and headaches.
• Stress can make trigger your nervous system and make it command your adrenal glands to release adrenaline and cortical. This may lead to problems with digestion and increase the heart rates and breathing rates. The high breathing rater can also contribute to stress induced anxiety attacks.
• Stress is also known to decrease your libido or sex-drive, as your mind becomes too busy thinking about other things and worrying.
• Stress can lead to extreme hair loss.
• Some people suffer from stress-induced eating disorders such as bulimia.
• What I talked about up until now are some of the less severe issues. Chronic stress can lead to insomnia, hypertension, and increase the risk of heart attacks and strokes.
