Rafiul Rabbi granted bail

    Rafiul Rabbi, the father of slain school-boy Tanvir Mohammad Toki, was granted bail by the Supreme Court till Januray next year in a cheque bounce case, said reports from Star Online.
    Rafiur’s lawyer Khurshid Alam told reporters that the chamber judge of the SC’s Apellate Division, Justice Mirza Hussain Haider, granted the bail to Rafiue after a leave to appeal petition filed by him against the HC verdict said further reports. January 5 next year was fixed by the apex court chamber judge for hearing the leave to appeal petition before the full bench of the Appellate Division. The prosecution stated that Rafiur gave two cheques for Tk 70 lakh to Jalal Uddin Ahmed, which were bounced in a bank. Jalal later filed a case with a court on April 25, 2012.
