We’ve all heard about aliens from Mars; aliens landing in spaceships; fly saucers and the little green men- but what of not so little green aliens from the depths of the ocean. Not far off the coast of Nova Scotia, deep in the middle of the sea, fisherman came upon what was not ‘the catch of the day’ but rather ‘the most bizarre catch of the day’. A roughly three foot long, pointy nosed, narrow tailed fanning finned FISH.
Scott Tanner, a local fisherman, spotted the specimen, while on a 42 day fishing expedition. no one he says, in his group or on later had ever seen anything like it before. Whether it had been washed up by the current from the depth or just appeared out of the blue is hard to know. The fishermen say that they had no intension of catching the fish or whatever it might be, but rather they followed it to observe it in its natural setting, unfortunately not long after, the fish was caught in the byline fishing net which had been thrown out previously in order to attract redfish and cod. When dumped on board the ship, the fish remained deathly still and might in fact have been killed on impact says the fishermen. It was sluiced off back to the ocean but not before the men on board got a few good pictures of it. Tanner finished his trip and returned home to post the picture online to rave controversy theories and explanations on all social media. The Daily Mail called it a ‘terrifying alien fish’ with its wings and glowing eyes.
