With endless availability of the wrong, very few wants to do it right! Bad things somehow look more appealing to us than the fine things does! Even though nature has to offer so much of positive and healthy food, we still chose to find a way to leave out the good and indulge in the negativity of it! What’s the point of all the health food has to offer if we chose to eat it in the wrong manner? Here are six food items we’re not doing justice to the benefits it offers us:
Sweeet Potatoes
Sweet potatoes have a high level of Vitamin A, anti-inflammatory and antioxidant elements. But opting for frying the sweet potatoes instead of the usual potato fries is a mistake. Frying the potatoes only makes it full of fat and calories.
Beans: Beans have the perfect combination of protein and fiber! What can be better than getting all the nutrients together but also at a cheap price? But what we see is that, beans are mostly consumed in cans, which are lined with BPA, which is a cancer causing chemical; and the salt added increases the sodium content in them! But if canned are the only option for you then maybe boiling or soaking them in water beforehand maybe helpful!
Apples
Apples are a package of health benefits altogether! With it being juicy, sweet and crunchy it also contains Vitamin A, C, calcium, potassium, different minerals, and even iron! This is why there’s a saying “an apple a day, keeps the doctor away”! But it’s seen that in many occasions apples are eaten with caramel sauces and other sweet stuffs! It’s also best to buy apples that are organic and also eating them with the peels on, since that has all the fibers!
Broccoli
Broccolis aren’t everyone’s favorite! Many people cannot eat it at all and many boil it so that it’s edible! But boiling seems to have taken away its nutrients. Best way to keep the nutrients in them and to keep them healthy is by sautéing them for minutes until the vegetable is soft and the color tints.
And that’s all you need to make a perfect healthy broccoli!
