    Leap year comes once in four years and with history and superficial, there are plenty of facts about 29th February!
    •Bachelor’s Day: Back in 1288, Scotland passed a law which allowed women to propose to men and if they refused, they had to pay fine for their refusal! Thus, 29th February is a traditional holiday where women propose to men in Ireland! Now, this is just written in history! •Georgian Calendar Roots: Julius Ceaser came up with the idea of the idea, but it wasn’t too accurate and he ended up creating plenty of leap years! fundamentally 3 extra days were left after every 400 years, hence what they did was to divide each centuries with 400, so to be called leap years. So years such as 1700 and 1800 aren’t 366 days long, but rather 365! But the calendar was introduced by Pope George XIII even though Pope Paul III was born on a leap year!
    •Leap Year by the numbers: The leap year is added every four years because the Earth takes 365.424 days to revolve around the sun, but even then, a few minutes are left to be added! Thus only the centuries that can be divisible by 400 are only leap years!
    •Leap Year Day Babies: According to astrologers, babies born on the leap year have unusual talents! There’s a 1 in 1,461 chances that a baby will be born on a leap year- leaplings!
    •Leap Year in history: In 29th February 1504, Christopher Columbus used the lunar eclipse to use it to his advantage by making the chief cooperate with supplying them with food! Salem Witch trials that resulted in the execution of 20 people and the death of other 7 people in jail started on 29th February 1692.
    The first black woman to win an Oscar was awarded on 29th February 1940, for her role in Gone With The Wind!
