A motorcyclist was killed and his co-rider injured in a road accident at Pukhuria in Shibganj upazila on Friday night.
Moynul Islam, officer-in-charge of Shibganj Police Station, said Nasim, 50, son of Badrul Mia, and Jahurul Islam, 50, of Kansat Bazar area, were injured when their motorcycle crashed into a stationary truck around 9 pm.
Later they were rushed to Shibganj Upazila Health Complex where doctors declared Nasim dead.
