Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) in a drive recovered 1.20 lakh pieces of Yaba tablets worth Tk 3.5 crore from Hoangbrang bordering area in Teknaf upazila on Friday night.
Topped off, a team of BGB led by Hila BoP Company Commander Nazrul Islam conducted a drive in the sluice gate area along the border and recovered the Yaba pills around 11 pm, said Lt Col Abu Jar Al Zahid, commanding officer of BGB 2 Battalion.
However, none was arrested as the smugglers managed to flee the scene.
