Donald Trump is the 45th president of United State of America. The way he came to power and all that happened before and after his victory is now history. He has made another history by being an outsider to occupy the White House.
His victory was a surprise for so many reasons. More surprising is the reaction from large number of quarter’s even congressmen about Trumps presidency. One placard says, ‘illegitimate President’. There have been protests and street brawls and fight between the supporters and opponents of Trump.
Why this reaction? Never before in history of US, did we see this sort of reaction from the opposition. By and large the people calm down and take things on their stride after the elections. Whoever came to the White house, he was more or less accepted. People move on. And talk about next time.
But this time round, things are not at all easy. Why is this happening? Is it that Trump did not enjoy good reputation? Is it because the President was four times bankrupt? Or because he is not from the political fraternity?
Why are people so fearful about him? May be because prior to his victory Trump said lots of things on important issues that caused ripples not only in America but also across the globe.
He not only denounced number of Obama policies, he also attacked the European Union, German leaders, Nato, Iran policy, about US involvement is wars, about oil and wealth , he praised Russia’s Putin, ( Russia has a coin in circulation with Trumps head ). All these have shaken the faith and trust of the people and world community because Trump is talking in a different tone.
His tone apart, he also picked up his cabinet from the business background and rich people. The oil mughals and tycoons from other areas will grace his ministries. Others who will wield influence will be people with considerable hatred for Muslims and highly pro Israel.
But his opening speech at the inaugural has impressed many. He stressed on the need for Americas position to be repaired, losses recovered, withdraw from risks, and doing everything in which America’s interest would come first.
I believe he brought to fore many such points and areas that nobody dared to talk about before. The current state of America inside and outside is not so good; Trumps speech has said just said this. The gloomy picture was brought to forefront by Trump with all vigor. The great weakness that US is going through has been highlighted by Trump.
If Trump could bring back the lost pride of Americans that will be a lasting gain that he and his party is not dreaming of yet. Trump will prove that he meant exactly what he said ‘America First’.
