DOT Desk: The Farmers Bank Limited (FBL) has changed its name to Padma Bank Limited. Bangladesh Bank- the central bank of the country, has issued a circular for all the scheduled banks to this end, reports The Independent.
The Farmers Bank Limited is a private commercial bank headquartered in Gulshan-1, Dhaka.
The bank was established in 2013. The fourth generation bank commenced its banking operation on June 3, 2013.
Last year, a Bangladesh Bank probe unearthed that the bank sanctioned loans to 11 companies in violation of banking norms and procedures.
