Political structure needed to be analyzed, not the party

Afsan Chowdhury speaks to DOT :
Whichever party comes to power, the bureaucrats are not punished. Pro-BNP bureaucrats are not punished during AL regime. By the same token, pro-AL bureaucrats are not punished during BNP regime. They may not get promotion but they are not punished. However, the politicians are changing ever.
The people of Bangladesh cannot think that the country’s politicians are weak. Incumbent PM Sheikh Hasina is the most successful PM in the history. However, her party is weak if she is excluded. BNP is weak if Khaleda Zia is excluded.
The political space has now become weak and the crisis is stemming from it. I am not sure what will happen after 2018 elections.
Our all problem lies with the middle-income group of people. The middle-income group of people is always dependent on others. The feet under them are very weak. That is why; they have begun to cry foul. The middle-income group of people has no historical role.
The low-income group of people has distanced themselves from the politics. Our problem is that we tend to analyze the party, not the political structure. We do not expect any violence centring on the elections.
