Reaz Fiem
Hello everyone. I am Reaz Fiem. a fat fighter. I bet this term sounds interesting and you do not have a clue. Well, let me tell you a small story that will clarify the term!
As a kid I grew up pretty lean, but as ‘teen age’ came in, school, coaching classes, lack of outdoor activities and junk eating became a regular part of my life.
Hence, I started to gain unwanted weight most of which were fat. I could still manage a reasonable weight gain to some extent, up until my marriage.
The post marriage weight gain came like a tsunami, as invitations from friends and family made me a 100 kg monster! I looked at food as a T-Rex would look at humans! One fine day I sat down with my wife and decided to change everything around. I told my wife that I am a teacher and to surge through my career that involves endless hours of stand up lectures I need to lose weight, that is body fat. From that day I became a fat fighter and till date I am fighting fat and helping people to fight fat and keeping it off permanently.
Today by the grace of Almighty I have only 9% body fat with a muscular frame! Therefore, from my personal experience I will suggest you top rated tips that will help you low blow that body fat!
1) Start slow: Forget crash diet! Stay away from adverts saying lose 20 kilos in 10 days. You developed this fat and thus you yourself are enough to reduce them. Check the food that you are consuming everyday. Try to reduce the amount of intake slowly. Your body is often compared with a machine, but in reality it is a living body and requires time to adapt to changes.
2) Look for healthy substitutes: In majority cases, try to find a substitute of the unhealthy meals that you have been consuming. For e.g. you love burger with cheese. Just try that very burger with a slice of low fat cheese.
3) Start eating more vegetables in its raw form: Well I always eat a salad before my lunch. Half hour before my lunch, I grab a cucumber and a carrot, slice them up and eat indulge them with a hint of black pepper. These veggies have more fiber that fills you up and gives you some healthy vitamins too.
4) Drink a glass of protein shake a day: Yes, a protein-shake! It does not matter whether you workout or not, you need some protein. A good quality protein powder blended in water serves two purposes. One, it serves you with some of your daily protein requirements and two,it becomes a much healthier choice of drink than your regular milk shake or gourmet coffee chillers. Also research showed high protein diets are good for your optimum health!
5) Make water your friend: Drink a lot of water. The body’s main component is water. Have chilled water with sips, as if you are drinking a drink. You might like to spice up your regular water at times. I am a big fan of “jeera paani”. Stay hydrated.
I hope you start your weekend with these small steps and I wil be back with more next week. Till then, Stay Fit!
