Detective branch of police rescued a businessman and arrested his three alleged abductors including a woman, from Char Adhpakhia under Muktagacha upazila of the district on Wednesday.
The arrested persons are Ripon Miah, 28, his wife Fahima Khatun, 22 and their accomplice Rijon Miah, 25.
Officer-in-Charge of DB police, Mymensingh, Imarat Hossain Gazi said that Ripon, a garment businessman, was learnt to have abducted businessman Momin.
Momin, owner of Uday Sweater at Yeasin Market of Uttra in Dhaka, came to Mymensingh with a Tabligh Jammat group on April 13 and was staying at a mosque at the police line in the town.
