Natore AL, BNP men caught ‘stealing’ train fuel

    Kabir Humayun: Two activists – one from Awami League and another from BNP – have been caught while “stealing” fuel from a train in Natore’s Azimpur Rail Station.
    Azmal Hossain, company commander of Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) 5, the detainees were stealing 2,530 litres of diesel from a train, reports The Daily Star.
    The arrestees are: Abdul Awal, president of Ward 2 of Gopalpur municipality Awami League, Rafiqul Islam, secretary of BNP of the same ward, and another Mokbul Hossain.
    On information, Rab conducted the drive at the station and caught them stealing fuel Tuesday night.
    Later, the arrestees and the diesel were handed over to Lalpur Police Station, said Rab official.
    A case was filed with Lalpur police against the trio, said Nazrul Islam Jewel, officer-in-charge of Lalpur Police Station.
