Probe into the matter of “Coal Mishap” may unveil harsh truths

Khalequzzaman, General Secretary, Bangladesher Samajtantrik Dal : Corruption has been a great acquaintance of the oil-gas and coal sectors. The Barapukuria coal disappearance mishap is the visible reference of the same. The nearly 1.5 million tons of coal did not disappear in a single day, the theft and miseries have been going on for a long time and finally, got revealed in this current time. The culprits need to be brought under justice through the proper channel of investigation.
As said in Bangla, the one-year drive to find some ‘earthworm’ has resulted in catching big ‘snakes.’ The same will happen if investigated properly on the coal disappearance. Not only regarding the coal disappearance, but also on the many sectors that have been gulped by corruption. The coal disappearance mishap would have had been suppressed, even go undetected if no lookups.
The main reason here needs to be revealed at the first place. In a system, a group of people cannot go on looting with the other group continuously repaying. The general mass subsidies the bank’s stolen money from their own pocket. Same happens for the incongruity of the gold in the bank’s vault. Foreigners are the ones alerting us of the money that have gone stolen from our reserve. One incident after another is going on this way, are there no improvements to suggest in the situation? There is now a high need of intensive investigation into all the incidents of corruption and irregularities including this one.
