Biman Bangladesh Airlines has honored the Sophia the humanoid robot with a Gold card membership on Wednesday. A biman official said “The female robot ‘Sophia’ will be given the card from Bangladesh Biman, as a gift. Gold membership is much prestigious for a passenger.”
The Public Relations Department of Biman said that they have given Sophia the card under their Royal Club. The world’s first robot citizen earlier arrived in Dhaka early Tuesday.Sophia has appeared at the inaugural session of Digital World 2017, at Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC), Wednesday after the PM inaugurated the four-day tech exposition.However, Sophia will be available at the Hall of Fame of BICC, from 2:30pm-4:00pm, at a segment titled ‘Techtalk with Sophia’. Visitors had shared conversation with the robot and took selfies during the session.
