Nayon Sarkar: Residents of Dhaka North City Corporation (DSCC) will be provided with free healthcare services for 15 days at home from November 28.
Through a phone a call on the DSCC hotline– 09611000999, one would be able to avail the medical services and necessary medicines for free. DNCC Mayor Mohammad Sayeed Khokon announced the move while inaugurating “Mayor Mohammad Hanif Primary Health Cell’’ at the city corporation building yesterday.
The service is meant for the monsoon and winter ailments only, he added.
Sayeed Khokon said: “During the outbreak of Chikungunya, we received a huge support from the city people. In the wake of the massive public response, we are now going to arrange the treatment facility.
“The decision (for free medical check-ups) was also taken aiming at breaking the taboo of medication in an untraditional way.”
The healthcare campaign is also designed to mark the death anniversary of Mohammad Hanif, the first elected mayor of the undivided Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC), Sayeed Khokon said.
