After the terrorist attack on al-Rawdah mosque targeting Sufis in the town of Bir al-Abed claimed at least 305 lives for which no group has yet claimed responsibility, Egypt’s military launched air strikes targeting “terrorist” locations and vehicles.Egyptian security sources reported that the military will not rest until all those involved in Friday’s attack is terminated. Authorities also informed that several suspects have already been killed. The Egyptian president, Abdel Fattah al-Sisi vowed a “harsh response” to the massacre and offered solace to the families of victims. Three days of national mourning began in Egypt on Saturday after the deadliest militant attack came days before the annual celebrations of the Prophet Muhammad’s birthday.There was also international condemnation for the attack. US President Donald Trump, India’s Congress president Sonia Gandhi, UN Security Council and Secretary-General António Guterres, UK foreign minister Boris Johnson, Head of the Arab League Ahmed Aboul Gheit, the State of Qatar, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qassemi and many more strongly denounced the attack.
