Ziaur Rahman’s youngest brother Ahmed Kamal dies

    Ahmed Kamal, the youngest brother of BNP founder and former president Ziaur Rahman, died at his own residence Sabujbagh in Dhaka yesterday, BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia’s media wing officer Shairul Kabir khan confirmed. A former bureaucrat, Kamal, had been suffering from various diseases including diabetes, high blood pressure. He was unmarried. He was the only living among the five brothers. He retired as the general manager of Bangladesh Parjatan Corporation in 2006. A discussion meeting and milad mahfil commemorating the death anniversary of Ziaur Rahman brought him in spotlight in 2016 when wished to form a new political party.
