Violence still continues in Rakhine, forcing more Rohingyas to come to Bangladesh, UNHCR said. At a press briefing in Cox’s Bazar hotel on Wednesday night, a Senior Emergency Coordinator at United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, Rohingyas still feel insecure in Rakhine, Amid insecurity, they cannot move freely. They live in fear, she said. She said, as most of their family already fled, they are also bound to Bangladesh. She also said the influx will continue until the situation improves and they can’t live freely. The UNHCR official said as talks between Bangladesh and Myanmar were going on, the organization hopes that they would reach an agreement that Rohingyas can go back home and live there freely. She said UNCHR is always prepared to extend support.
